Cafe PetriS is the heart of Design Hill — a place where you can stop and enjoy good food, high-quality coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere.

We prepare a wide selection of sweet and savory treats every day in our own kitchen, using our own recipes. Our display case features homemade cakes, pies, filled sandwiches, and other seasonal delicacies. Every day, we serve delicious soups, generous salads, and other popular lunch dishes. We always have gluten-free and vegan options available.

Our café’s coffee is made from carefully roasted beans from the award-winning Cafetoria roastery in Lohja. We also offer a diverse selection of hot and cold beverages.
At the café, you will also find a carefully selected range of Finnish and international delicacies. They are perfect for enjoying yourself, taking home as a gift, or adding to gifts purchased from Design Hill’s stores.

Group Reservations
If you are visiting us for coffee or lunch with a larger group, we recommend making a group reservation in advance. Tables will be reserved and ready for guests who have booked in advance.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept table reservations during June–August or on public holidays.

Lunch menu

High quality

Our staff have received professional barista training, so you can be sure that your coffee is prepared properly. We use high-quality Cafetoria coffee beans, and our selection of specialty coffees is extensive. We also put a strong emphasis on good-quality tea. We serve black, green, and white teas from our own imports, either as they are or infused with various spices, without the use of artificial flavors.

 

We also make wonderfully refreshing berry and fruit juice drinks, as well as smoothies made from real fruit.

Eating locally

The Salo region is the heart of Finnish food production. Grain, vegetables, root vegetables, peas and beans, meat products, eggs and honey are available from several nearby farms. Our goal is to increase appreciation for Finnish food and make it easy to purchase locally produced food. For us, local food means responsible choices.

From our local food shelf, you can buy high-quality, locally produced juices, jams, chili and pickled cucumber products, flours and flour mixes, fava bean products, and honey. We source our products directly from farms and small producers known to us for their high-quality and responsible operations. We are constantly expanding our selection, and the range available on our shelves varies according to the food seasons. We also believe it is important that consumers have the opportunity to meet the people who produce their food. For this reason, we organize local food markets according to the harvest seasons, where farmers, producers, and food artisans sell their own products directly.

Our store also offers a wide selection of high-quality oils and coffees, as well as various spices, foods made from dried berries, fruits, and root vegetables, and confectionery.
