We are located in Halikko, right next to the motorway. Here you will find high-quality Finnish lifestyle brands, premium international brands with a Scandinavian design aesthetic, as well as cosmetics and haircare products. The lower floor of Design Hill is also home to the Vaski Cider cidery. Design Hill is a stopover destination with something for everyone.

At the heart of our store is Cafe Petris, where you can relax and enjoy homemade treats or purchase them to take away. Our selection always includes freshly made sweet and savoury delicacies, specialty coffees, fresh salads and soups.

Design with a View

Design Hill was established in 2009 when the factory outlet of Pinetta-Tuote Oy relocated alongside the new Turku–Helsinki motorway. The idea was to create a lifestyle store in an excellent location that would be well worth stopping for. Brightness, fresh simplicity, and understated Scandinavian design are the themes that remain constant, even as the product selection and brands evolve over time. The experience is complemented by the café, which serves as the heart of the store.

Whether you are coming from nearby or farther away, it is easy to stop by. We are located in Halikko at Exit 13 on the E18 Turku–Helsinki motorway. We are approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Helsinki and about 35 minutes from Turku.

Design Hill is Finland’s first retail building to be heated and cooled entirely by geothermal energy. Today, our roof is also equipped with solar panels from the Salo-based company Areva Solar, which generate the electricity needed for our store. We do not waste clean water; for example, our toilet flushing system uses greywater. We sort and recycle all of our waste. We also strive to minimize food waste by carefully planning our product selection and food quantities in advance.

We actively support young people in gaining experience of working life. Many young people and students have completed TET (work-life orientation program) work-experience placements and study-related internships with us. In addition, we offer summer jobs for schoolgoers.

It is also important to us to support the employment opportunities and social participation of people who may face greater challenges than others for various reasons. In addition, we are a supporting member of SYTY ry.

Our small and charming café would not operate without this powerhouse team. The pace is usually lively throughout the day, but when teamwork is strong, everything runs smoothly.

Erittäin positiivisesti yllättävä paikka. Toivon ettet eksy vieressä olevaan Shell Simpukkaan tauolle vaan löydät itsesi tähän Luxus kahvilaan. Kahvi täyttää varmasti kahvifriikkienkin toiveet (espresso) ja leivonnaiset ja salaatit todella maukkaita ja kauniita. En tiennytkään että lautaselle voidaan tehdä sellaista taidetta, miten tuotteet siihen laitetaan....kestää tovin ennen kuin niitä voi alkaa syömään, koska asettelu on taidetta. Uskon ettei kukaan pety, joka sinne eksyy.
